Life or Something Like it

In one of her lesser known leading roles, Angelina Jolie plays Lanie Kerrigan in Life or Something Like it (2002), a rather spooky romantic comedy.

To quote from the DVD blurb, Lanie is "... a beautiful, ambitious newscaster who thinks that having the perfect hair, perfect boyfriend and perfect apartment adds up to the perfect life ..." She also has a pretty good car. It's a metallic silver W113 Pagoda SL. Complete with red upholstery, and a decent stash of Camels in the glovebox.

Although the SL makes three significant appearances in Life or Something Like it, these appearances are all in context. In other words, this movie does not really have any American Gigolo-style "gratuitous benzity". Still, it's well worth a look, especially as the lovely Angelina complements the SL so well. And yet ... I would have preferred her - and the SL - without the cigarettes.
